JCM Buys Fujitsu Frontech, Expands in Cash Handling

Gaming and cash handling technology supplier Japan Cash Machine (JCM) has completed the acquisition of medium- and small-sized banknote recycler and dispenser manufacturing and sales business of Fujitsu Frontech, which was first announced in March.

According to the company, it is pursuing the further expansion of its global commercial business as one of its key strategic initiatives under its medium-term management plan, ‘JCM Global Vision 2032’.

Referring to Fujitsu Frontech, it added: ‘through this business acquisition, JCM aims to further strengthen its presence in the commercial market by expanding its customer base and product portfolio, while leveraging its global sales network to create new business opportunities.’ Fujitsu’s revenues for the year ending March 2025 were JPY 7.14 billion (US$43.9 million). The base acquisition price was JPY 500 million (US$3.1 million).
