WYSIWYG – Qualifying Banknote Security Dynamics
Banknote security shouldn’t be boring – it must engage people. Let’s start with a simple concept WYSIWYG…. What You See Is What You Get…; at first glance and in its simplest form, a banknote could be perceived as just a piece of printed paper. But in reality, it’s a carefully engineered document designed to communicate authenticity in a fraction of a second.
The CODYN study – short for Perception and Comparative Analysis of Color in Dynamic Features – was initiated by Louisenthal to understand exactly how that communication works, and how colour and movement can strengthen it. The key outcome is how to optimally align these dynamics to improve security in first level features. Objective – to stop the counterfeiter at first pass.
