Hueck Folien Reports Revenue Growth and Expansion

Banknote security specialist Hueck Folien reported revenue of €66.36 million for the period ended 31 December 2025 (up 8.8% from €60.99 million in 2024).

But while revenue increased, it reported an operating loss of €2.41 million, compared with €571,000 in 2024. The loss after tax increased from €1.01 million to €2.81 million.

Materials and externally sourced production costs came in at €28.26 million (up from €26.79 million), personnel costs at €24.87 million (up from €23.3 million), and other operating expenses at €12.41 million (up from €9.89 million) in 2024.

Despite the impact on profitability, Hueck Folien has continued to invest in production and has expanded its optical security capabilities. The acquisition of WaveFront Technology (a specialist in micro and nano structures based in California) is a major strategic development. WaveFront brings 30 years of experience, a team of 30 specialists, and a US production facility – giving Hueck Folien greater control over technology generation, patent portfolio, tooling, manufacturing and R&D.
