Security by Design: Two Industry Leaders Join Forces

Koenig & Bauer Banknote Solutions (KBBNS) and JURA have announced a technology collaboration to enhance interoperability and develop advanced tools for the banknote design community. The collaboration combines the companies’ technical expertise in banknote design, origination, and production workflow to support the security printing industry as demand for secure, functional, and aesthetically engaging banknotes continues to evolve.

KBBNS develops and manufactures high-security design and origination, pre-press, printing and finishing equipment, software, security features and end-to-end production solutions for banknotes and other secure documents. Its security design portfolio includes the design software ONE™ Suite for designers and engravers, Asecuri, which handles pre-press workflows, and Nota-Live™, for realistic 3D visualisation of banknote design.

JURA, meanwhile, specialises in pre-press systems, specialist software, hardware and security design solutions. These include its flagship Corvina platform, a modular system of graphic applications for high security document design.
