New Technical Forum for Security Printers

Reconnaissance International is launching a new industry event dedicated to the production side of banknote printing.

The inaugural Security Printers Forum (SPF) will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, in September 2027, bringing together operational, technical and production specialists from state and commercial printers, along with equipment, software, materials and technology suppliers.

The new forum is intended to fill a gap in the industry's event landscape. While considerable attention is given to the design and security features of banknotes and other secure documents, there are fewer opportunities for those responsible for producing them to exchange experience on how secure printworks can operate more efficiently, securely, and sustainably.

The underlying objective of the event is straightforward: to help printworks produce banknotes securely, to the highest quality and at the lowest cost.
