Q&T Extends Tender Record with Latest Contract

Further to the news last month that Q&T Hi-Tech Polymer has won another tender for Vietnamese banknotes, the polymer substrate manufacturer – which is now a supplier for five of the six denominations in its home currency series – has provided more details on how it has reached this milestone less than three years after its first commercial delivery.

The latest contract with Vietnam's National Banknote Printing Plant (NBPP) is to supply polymer substrate for the 200,000 dong denomination. The award takes the company's supply to five of the six denominations in Vietnam's circulating polymer series.

Q&T was founded in 2016, and the milestone comes less than three years after it made its first commercial delivery, in August 2023. Prior to that, all substrate (Vietnam switched to polymer in 2003) was imported.
